it was a beagle.
named it cat stevens after my old dog, cat stevens.
got to keep it for 7 hours.
went to the park together.
took it to humane society.
will miss cat stevens for many days to come.
will probably get a puppy next year.
maybe a beagle.

I shot a bird today.

Now, before we all go running around shouting that I'm a pagan sociopath, let's examine the chain of events.

Jamie comes over to play. He suggests target practice. He steals my rifle.

How lucky: I have a gun.

Uh-oh! A birdy fell out of its nest, and its mother is nowhere to be found!

We later discover she has been eaten by my cat.

So, anyway, poor little birdy was going to die. We fed him roast beef and bananas [couldn't find worms], and pondered what to do with the bugger.

OOOH I know!

Let's shoot the birdy!
